No Doubt...Yeah!

For our anniversary I surprised Todd with tickets to the No Doubt concert and a night at the Marriott downtown. We went down got some food and chilled in the room before we changed and went to the e Center. Now on our tickets we had 3rd row seats and when we got there found out they had changed it and there were no seats on the floor; the guy used the word "pit". So we got there around 7 and got pretty close to the stage. There were 2 opening acts...The Sounds and Paramore. Both were good but they played until about 9. Finally Gwen came out and boy was she hot! They were so good. And with every drunk, barfing person that left we got closer to the stage :) It was really cute, she brought her son, Kingston, on stage and we sang Happy Birthday to him. They played all the oldies and saved my favorite song for the finale. We were about 15 feet from the stage by now and on that last song she jumped down into the audience. A huge surge of fans pushed us closer and I was about 2 feet from her but couldn't reach her...so close! I got as many good pictures as I could and some video. Now keep in mind I was in a pit with people spilling crap on me, stepping on my feet, and jumping uncontrollably so the videos were harder to do! They played until 11:10 which was sweet. By the end we couldn't bend our knees or hear each other but it was a good time. We got back to the hotel, showered up and we were asleep in about 15 minutes. Does this mean we are too old to be in the pit? :) It was a great way to spend the old anniversary and now I have to top it next year :)

That sounds so fun! I actually saw on E News that she sang to him in SLC, that's so cool! And you're supposed to go back to the hotel and...well not sleep old fart.

Thank heavens you didn't go see that GAGA chick. Gwen is fine....You two always were the fun couple. I think, oh yea I know, Uncle RIchard and I weren't even in the same state on our anniversary. And I am sure.......you just slept!

Love,
